Check the Map page for a Google map and more on the area, and the Pictures page for images of the surrounding area.
The Yellowstone Village homes (Cozy Cabin, Yellowstone Sunrise View) are situated in the center of the Hebgen Lake basin, on the Horse Butte peninsula. It is in a gorgeous setting, with views of the Madison, Gallatin, and Henry’s Lake mountain ranges (the picture in the page header was taken looking south from the neighborhood). The area has great views of Yellowstone Park. We are in a
small, quiet residential area surrounded by National Forest land, and often have fox, bison (buffalo), moose, elk, grizzly bears and eagles wandering through the area.
The Duck Creek Retreat is all about location, location, location...
This place is a one of a kind, and is a particularly sweet spot for those with a fishing fetish. It includes a private pond fed by a stream (Duck Creek) flowing directly out of Yellowstone Park...So, the fishing is great! It has wild trout and is not stocke, and some of the the big ones come up from Hebgen lake and the madison river downstream...We've often enjoyed a day out fishing the rivers, then dinner, then throwing a line in the pond, usually for the biggest trout of the day (big Browns, Rainbows, and Brookies)! Lots of wildlife and waterfowl here, spectacular views, a private fishing pier, several acres to call your own during your stay. You'll love it!
In the summertime, there are miles of National Forest trails open to hiking, biking, and motorized uses. The numerous and beautiful area lakes and rivers offer fishing and boating opportunities. Hebgen lake is right out the door and is great for wildlife viewing, swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, walks on the sand beaches…
Be sure and check out the links below the Google map to get an idea of the skiing and snowmobiling opportunities around West Yellowstone. Of
course, there is ample backcountry touring and riding to be had - some of the best in the world! We have great ski touring right out the door, groomed ski trails in town and within a short drive of our properties, and excellent out the back door access to the 400+ miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the area.
Then there's Yellowstone…Only minutes from each home, and one of the most spectacular places on the planet. Fishing, hiking, photography, geyser gazing, wildlife, lakes and
boating, you name it, we’ve got it. Check out the links page to find out more about all of these activities, plus all of the fun stuff to do in West Yellowstone.
